My name is Layne Rinks, and I am proud to serve as Principal of Muscle Shoals Career Academy and Director of Career & Technical Education for Muscle Shoals City Schools. 

Prior to joining MSCA, I served as Director of Career & Technical Education for Florence City Schools and as an Assistant Principal and CTE Administrator at Florence High School. I have also worked as a teacher and athletic director, teaching courses ranging from social sciences to computer science and AP-level classes.

I am currently completing my Doctorate in Educational Leadership and remain passionate about expanding career pathways, strengthening work-based learning, and building strong partnerships with industry and higher education. My goal is simple: to ensure every student graduates prepared for success in college, career, and life.
